Save a web app to your device’s homescreen.
Add your community website as a home screen shortcut in any device.
On desktop computers
Google Chrome
- Open the website you want to save.
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Go to Save and share > Create shortcut OR Install App.
- Give the shortcut a name and choose to open it in a new window if you prefer.
- Click Create.
Microsoft Edge
- Open the website you want to save.
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Hover over Apps and select Install this site as a web app.
- In the pop-up, you can choose to pin it to the taskbar or start menu.
- Click Install.
All browsers (Drag and drop)
- Open the website and resize the browser window so you can see your desktop.
- Click and hold the icon (like a padlock) to the left of the address bar.
- Drag the icon from the address bar and drop it onto your desktop. A new shortcut will be created.
On mobile devices
Android (Chrome)
- Open the website in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Confirm by tapping Install or Add.
- The app icon will appear on your home screen.
iOS (Safari)
- Open the website in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.
- Choose a name for the shortcut and tap Add.
