Add Events

Let members know of upcoming events or meetings by going to to the Events tab > Add New Event

  1. Add a title.
  2. Link to an external website or conference platform.
  3. Category.
  4. Location.
  5. Start and End Date. Required.
  6. Recurring. Screenshot below. Select how often you want to repeat this event and when you want it to end.
  7. Enter a description, pictures, or other content with the text editor.
  8. Attach files.
  9. Attach images.
  10. Create a discussion post and send email notifications to members with the event details and ical file.
  11. Create Video Meeting. Select yes to have the system create a video meeting link using the in platform video call feature.
  12. Allow RSVP. Select Yes to allow members to RSVP to this event. Go to the event page to see the RSVP list.
  13. Legacy code. This is used for AMS event sync or other automatic event feeds. Do not change.
  14. Save.

To Delete an event, go to the event page and select Edit. The event editor will now display a Delete field. Set to Yes and Save.

The news or events tab can be auto populated by adding the RSS feed from the committee’s blog or website. To do so, you must have Admin permissions. To see if you have access, go to the group’s profile and see if it gives you the option to Update Profile.

Navigate to the Content tab, here you can add your feed links for either news or events directly from your website. You can also choose to post the new entries under someone else's name.

You can notify your members about new events and blogs by turning every new entry into a discussion post. To enable automatic feed notifications, turn Send Feed Notifications= YES.

Event Planning

The Event Planning tool for time management allows you to coordinate meetings between group members. An admin feature by default, It allows you to schedule and make arrangements collaboratively

To create a new event planning poll, go to the group page> Events tab> Add Event Planning.

  1. Enter the event name.
  2. Enter a description, inline you can add images or links.
  3. Attach image.
  4. Send Notification. Check to create a discussion post and send an email notification to the group members.
  5. Previous/Next/Today. To go to previous or next month or go back to today.
  6. Calendar to select potential dates. Go to the dates and time you want to use as potential times. To select a time left click on mouse, hold briefly, and drag to highlight and select a block of time. Tap a block to remove it.
  7. Save.
