Graphics and Icons

Following are the recommended formats and dimensions for the icons and background images.

Profile Picture

This applies to a group’s profile picture as well as an individual's profile picture.  We recommend a square ratio between 200x200 px - 500x500 px, just make sure the width and height match for best presentation. It also supports transparency, such as with png file format.

To change the icon on a profile picture go to My Profile and click on the green pencil on the corner of the current icon.

Groups’ profile picture can be changed by going to the group and clicking on the green pencil on the current icon.

Background Images

Background images should be roughly 1580px wide and 1000px in height, jpeg format around 60% quality for ideal rendering and image size. Or any rectangle banner size of your preference.

Background images for individual profiles can be updated by going to My Profile> Edit Profile> Personal> Background Image.

To edit the background for each discussion group, go to My Groups> Select Group Name> Update Profile> General> Background Image.

For the groups/ other pages header is recommended to be 1580 x 722px. Though it gets resized to fit the screen size, the standard area is about 1000 x 200 base.

The recommendation for the homepage is 1580 x 1054px. Though the image is cropped to fit the display area of around 1000x350 but you may standardize the graphics you want to use.

You can also change the background of the community to appear on the homepage. Go to Admin> Organization> Manage Settings> Settings> Background Image.

Theme Editor

Access the community’s theme editor by going to Admin> Organization> Manage Theme> Theme

In the theme editor you can update the logo that appears at the homepage of your community.

The community logo should be roughly 500x100px, and the prefered format is png.

The theme editor contains a Site Favorite Icon. For the best style choose a picture with a square ratio between 16 px - 200 px and png file format.

Default Group Icon is the stock image that will appear when you first create a group but haven’t updated the profile picture.

The same is true for Default Person Icon but with individual member profiles. And as previous icons, the ideal format is png, square ratio 200x200 px - 500x500 px.
