Create Custom Content
Create a template to showcase your sponsors. Use it in email or in other content areas.
1. How to Create a Custom Template
- You will need Admin permissions to access this content. Log into the community, on the top right hand corner, select Admin.
- Under the Administration menu on the left, click on Custom Content. From the dropdown, select Content Areas.
- You can make changes and preview your existing templates.
- Click on + Create New to begin with a blank form.
In the following example, I will create a Sponsor section which can be used throughout the community.
- Give your new template a name.
- Add content to the body of the form. It can be the organization’s information, contact, social media. You can add hyperlinks, embed videos, pictures, logos.
- Use File Manager to upload pictures or videos. Arrange the pictures around as desired.
- To add a hyperlink to a picture or video, select the picture and click on hyperlink.
- You will be asked to enter the URL destination. When someone clicks on the picture/media, it will open this link.
- At the bottom of the page, Preview, Save, and Publish Changes.
- To add your new template to a single group, go to your group and select Update Profile.
- Go to the Content Tab, here select where you want the content to be displayed.
- Type the first few letters of the name you gave your template and select your preference.
- Save profile.
Show your custom templates on the homepage and other pages of the community. Go to Admin> Organization> Manage Theme> Homepage, Pages, Content, Headers, Advanced Tab. Templates will be shown system wide.
Email Header:
See when the mouse hovers over the picture, it shows URL destination (Ie. Sengii.com).
